Pie RushA bakery tycoon puzzle with pie slices

Match pie slices and serve animal customers in your bakery.

Pie Rush puts you behind the counter of a small pie shop. Animal customers sit down, order a pie and start to lose patience. A slice comes out in the middle of the counter, you drag it onto one of the plates around it, and once all six slots are filled the pie is done. Then you carry it over to the customer who wants it.

A Chapter 3 stage with three plates. One pie is finished and shows the face of the customer who will take it, and the next slice waits in the NEXT spot at the top right.

Game overview

What is Pie Rush?

Orders get pickier as you go: any pie at all, a pie of one flavor, half and half, or three flavors with two slices each. Every stage gives you 100 seconds and one or two missions, and you clear it the moment they are done. There are 100 stages across 10 chapters, plus a High Score arcade mode that opens after Stage 20.

At a glance

  1. Drag the slice in the middle onto a plate. Tap it first to flip it around if it fits better the other way.
  2. Fill all six slots of a plate to finish a pie, then drag the pie to a customer whose order it matches.
  3. Slices and pies nobody needs go in the trash. A pie given to the wrong customer just comes back to its plate.
  4. A customer who waits too long walks out and costs a heart. Run out of hearts or time and the stage ends.

How a stage works

Animal customers take the seats at the counter and each one orders a pie. A small gauge above every customer shows how long they are willing to wait. In the middle of the counter sits the pie server with one slice on it, and next to it you can see the slice that comes after.

Around the server are your plates, two of them at first and up to four later on. Drag the slice onto a plate and the next one moves up. A plate holds six slots, and when all six are filled the pie is finished and stays on its plate until you hand it over. Drag it to a customer whose order it matches and they pay you in coins. There is no timer on the slices themselves, so the pressure comes from the stage clock and from customers running out of patience.

Controls

Drag the slice in the middle onto a plate. It goes in facing the way you see it.

Tap the slice in the middle to flip it around, then drag it.

Drag a finished pie to a customer. Customers who will take it light up in green, and a customer who will not shows a red X as you pass over them.

Drag a slice or a finished pie onto the trash to get rid of it.

The pause button stops the clock and every customer's gauge. If you switch to another app or tab, the game pauses by itself.

Dragging a finished pie to the counter. Customers who can take it glow green, and holding it over a customer who ordered something else shows a red X.

Orders and coins

There are five flavors in the shop: cherry, blueberry, lemon, pistachio and grape. Each order asks for a different kind of pie.

Any pie

Any six slices will do. Worth 10 coins.

One-flavor pie

All six slices in the flavor the customer asked for. Worth 25 coins.

Half & half

Two flavors with three slices each. Worth 20 coins.

3-flavor pie

Three flavors with two slices each. Worth 30 coins.

Customers also leave a tip. The more patience they have left when the pie arrives, the bigger it is, and every serve in your current streak adds a little more. VIP guests wear a crown, wait less and pay double. Golden cream slices fill in for whatever flavor a pie is missing, while a burnt slice ruins any pie it goes into, so it belongs in the trash.

Three customers, three different orders. From the left: a three-flavor pie, half and half, and a one-flavor pie. The guest in the crown on the left is a VIP.

Missions, hearts and time

Every stage lasts 100 seconds and comes with one mission, or two on boss stages. The moment the missions are done, the stage is cleared. Missions come in eight kinds:

Customers

Serve a set number of customers.

Flavor pies

Bake a number of pies in one named flavor.

One-flavor pies

Serve pies made of a single flavor.

Half & half

Serve a number of half and half pies.

3-flavor pies

Serve a number of three-flavor pies.

Coins

Earn a set number of coins.

VIP guests

Serve a number of crowned guests.

Serve streak

Keep serving without losing a customer or trashing a pie.

You start each stage with three hearts. A customer who waits too long leaves and takes a heart with them. In the last three chapters some stages give you only one heart, so nobody can be left waiting. If time or hearts run out, you can continue once: you get 20 more seconds, and if you lost on hearts you also get one heart back and every waiting customer's gauge fills up again. The browser version on this page has no ads, so the continue is given right away.

After each stage you see the coins you earned, how many customers you served and your best combo. Coins add up to a running total on the main screen.

Ten chapters, 100 stages

Stages unlock one after another. Each chapter has ten stages, and every tenth stage is a boss stage with two missions.

Chapter 1 Corner Bakery

Two plates, three flavors and one or two customers. You learn to drag, flip and use the trash.

Chapter 2 Morning Market

Half and half orders arrive from Stage 11, along with a fourth flavor.

Chapter 3 Order Rush

A third plate, a third seat and golden cream slices from Stage 21.

Chapters 4-5

Oven Mayhem and Festival Stall bring VIP guests from Stage 31 and bigger slices up to three slots.

Chapter 6 Station Kiosk

Four plates, a fifth flavor and burnt slices from Stage 51.

Chapters 7-10

Seaside Café, Snowy Village, Royal Banquet and Pie Contest. Three-flavor orders from Stage 61, and some one-heart stages from Stage 73.

Stage select. Green checks mark cleared stages, and the gold frame is the chapter's boss stage.

High Score mode

Clear Stage 20 and the High Score mode opens. It is a faster arcade game with no customers: slices pop out of the server one by one, and each slice has only a few seconds before it falls off. A dropped slice does not cost you anything except your combo.

Fill a plate and the pie is served on the spot, which frees the plate again. A pie made of just one flavor is a special pie and scores three times as much as a mixed one. Every three pies in a row raise your score multiplier, up to x5. Your time works like a bank of 100 seconds that drains steadily and refills with every pie, twice as much for a special. As you level up you get more plates, up to six, and less time per slice. When the bank runs dry the run is over, with one continue of 20 seconds.

High Score mode. Pies go out as soon as a plate is full, and the time bar shows how much is left in your time bank.

Tips for new players

1Look at the next slice.

The slice after this one is always on display. Leaving room for it on a plate saves you a trip to the trash.

2Check the face under each plate.

A plate you are filling shows the customer it is heading for, and a finished pie shows who will take it. If nobody wants it, the trash badge appears instead.

3Serve fast for bigger tips.

Tips grow with the patience a customer has left and with your serving streak, so a quick serve is worth more than the price alone.

4Trash slices without worry.

Throwing away a slice never costs a heart or breaks your streak. Trashing a finished pie does break the streak, so save that for burnt pies and pies nobody ordered.

5Mind the crowns.

VIP guests lose patience faster. When one sits down, make their pie first, especially on one-heart stages.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Is Pie Rush free?

Yes. The browser version on this page is free and has no ads or purchases.

Do the slices have a timer?

Not in Stages. There you only race the 100-second clock and the customers' patience. The High Score mode is the one where every slice has a few seconds before it falls.

What if I give a pie to the wrong customer?

Nothing bad happens. The customer turns it down and the pie goes back to its plate, ready for someone else or for the trash.

Can I get stuck with a slice that fits nowhere?

When a plate has room, the game adjusts the slice you are holding so that it fits. If every plate is holding a finished pie, serve one or throw one away to make space.

Is my progress saved?

Your cleared stages, coins and best score are saved on this device in your browser. There is no account, so clearing site data or switching to another browser starts you from the beginning.
